The Gambia Revenue Authority Friday launched a magazine called NAAMO at a ceremony held at their main office in Banjul.
The authors of the magazine are Abdoulie Nyockeh of The Point, Maimuna Sey-Jawo, Omar Bah and Isatou Jawara of The Standard newspapers.
The magazine focuses on issues relevant to the transformation of the authority especially tax collection and some of the achievements registered during the past years.
Speaking at the forum on behalf of the authors, Abdoulie Nyockeh, head of the editorial board, expressed gratitude to his team who he said was very supportive and committed in the documentation of the magazine.
He expressed hope that the NAAMO magazine will impact positively on the lives and livelihood of the taxpayers and the GRA as it enhances understanding and enlightens the tax payer about his or her duties to the nation.

According to Nyockeh, the magazine centered on some of the activities undertaken by the GRA and some of their achievements.
He thanked the Commissioner General of GRA Yankuba Darboe and assured him that he will continue doing more of this kind with his team.
The Commissioner General returned gratitude to the authors for taking their time to produce such a document.

He thanked their partners especially GPA who he said has paid over D72M in 2017 alone.
The CG assured that the magazine is going to be published annually and will only cover and highlight the work of those who are tax compliant.
CG Darboe urged the management to put together effort in helping the tax payers to be compliant with their tax obligation.

“The NAAMO magazine aims to capture key GRA activities during the year, which include training workshops, meetings and taxpayers event organized by GRA or in collaboration with their partners,” he stated.
Essa Jallow, Deputy Commissioner General GRA, said the magazine will go a long way in terms of cataloging important events and important milestones reached over a period of time.
He described the magazine as very qualitative.
