Almami Fanding Taal, the spokesman of the United Democratic Party has said a statement attributed to him in The Standard saying the “Coalition 2016 was meant to kill UDP” was taken out of context. He clarified that what he said was those who formed the coalition wanted to lessen the power of the UDP which as the largest opposition party should naturally lead any coalition formed.
